2017 ADULT 55 & OVER

League season is March - June (Sundays) for players 55 years of age or older by end of league year.  The NTRP levels of play are combined 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0 for separate men's and women's leagues.  The NTRP difference between doubles partners may not exceed 1.0, and the combined NTRP level of the doubles partners may not exceed the level at which the team is competing (i.e., 7.0 doubles partners could be a combination of two 3.5 players, or a 4.0 player with a 3.0 partner, or a 3.0 player with a 3.5 partner).

The Move Up/Split Up rule applies to any team and players that qualified for, or advanced to any 2016 Adult National Championships. Refer to ODTA League Rules & Regulations 29.

Move Up/Split Up Table      Adult Championship Players

Previous year's Adult National Championship players must move up according to the Move Up/Split Up Table or be counted in the three-player limit (two-player limit for Adult 2.5 and 5.0+).  Players who played on 3.0/6.0 teams are considered to be 3.0 (even if they are 2.5); players on 3.5/7.0 teams are considered to be 3.5 (even if they are 3.0), players on 4.0/8.0 teams are considered to be 4.0 (even if they are 3.5); players on 4.5/9.0 teams are considered to be 4.5 (even if they are 4.0); players on 5.0+ teams are considered to be 5.0 (even if they are 4.5).

When championship players' NTRP ratings used in the previous year’s Adult 55&Over league is the same as the "Move Up" level for the Adult 18 & Adult 40, those players must move up one level higher than shown in the Table, otherwise, the players will be counted in the three-player limit (two-player limit for Adult 2.5 and 5.0+).

A team match consists of (3) doubles matches.  The match format is: Best of two sets, regular scoring, set tiebreak (first to 7 by a margin of 2) at 6-all, with a match tiebreak (first to 10 by a margin of 2) in lieu of a third set. The switching of sides for service during any tiebreak shall follow the Coman Tiebreak Procedure.

The minimum number of players on a team is 6, maximum 16 players.  League fee is $28 per player.
